First, fly into Athens on a budget airline and head directly to the port, it is advisable to buy your tickets at the port directly. Sailing Islands is complete package, your transportation is taken care of and you can proceed to book nightly stays in hostels at the several islands you will be visiting. It is important you note that island hopping simply connotes that you will be sleeping on a different island every night. This requires careful and thoughtful planning. It is advisable to use the services of an Agent at the port but please be careful as these agents can be very tricky and cost you more money.

Accommodation & Food 

Accommodation, food and transportation vary according to what cities you go, but in general prices are quiet fair.
Accommodation (depends on the season)
Airbnb- 25-50 euros for a private room in a shared flat.
Hostel- 18-40 euros per bed in a shared room
Hotel- From 45 euros above

Cost of Island Hopping

Amazingly, for as low as €18 you can get a ferry pass to a string of islands. The prices could however be as high as €350 depending on the speed of the ferry and the level of entertainment you get on board.

Suggested daily budget – 35-60 euros. This is the suggested budget if you are staying in an Airbnb, cooking most of your meals and using public transportation. It does not apply to a someone staying in a luxurious hotel who eats most meals outside. For the latter the budget tips below can help you reduce cost
